For years, non-profits have been at the heart of social change—working alongside communities and stepping in when governmentsand markets fall short and doing the hard work that needs to getdone. But let’s get real, times have changed. The global fundinglandscape has shifted dramatically with governments in the Global North increasingly turning inward and focusing their tax revenues on domestic priorities. That old, dependable funding model isn't cuttingit anymore. We’ve entered a new era of uncertainty and instability.

But here’s the thing: we don’t do this work because there is funding—we do it because it’s right. And while this global shift hasbeen disruptive, it has only reaffirmed my belief that our social enterprise model is the most viable path forward. I believed itthen, and I believe it even more now.

That’s why we established BASEflow Services, BASEflow Products, and BASEflow Construction—three social enterprisesdesigned to support our mission and ensure the long-term financial sustainability of our non-profit work. These businesses helpcover operational costs and give us the freedom to pursue bold solutions that some might find too risky to support.
